Some new GT5 gameplay to wet your appetite.

President of SCE Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida has been talking to the UK PS site and has given some interesting info on Gran Turismo.

What can we look forward to when Gran Turismo 5 releases on PlayStation 3?

Gran Turismo 5 will offer gamers an experience more rich, more in-depth and more exciting than they might expect – even from a series as closely identified with innovation and invention as Gran Turismo. Not only will Gran Turismo 5 deliver an even more comprehensive set of cars and courses than gamers saw with previous iterations, it will also feature new game-enhacing graphical effects such as damage, night racing and weather.

These innovations are twinned with the option to join millions of like-minded individuals globally within the Gran Turismo community and to find a driving experience to suit, whether that is taking on the Top Gear test track, chucking cars around stunt arenas, go-karting, creating and sharing your own track or intense head-to-head races. Who, where and what to drive is completely down to the individual.

Looks like GT5 might have been worth the wait.

The one thing that makes the next Gran Turismo so great is he Top Gear test track, we all want ago on it and GT have supplied it.

The gameplay is off-screen and lasts about 1:45.

Big news we have all been waiting for the release date of GT5, while the wait is over and the game will be released on November 2nd.

GTPlanet.net have got their hands on some new gorgeous looking GT5 screenshots.

In the forthcoming version of Gran Turismo 5 PS3, all three courses of the Nürburgring, Grand Prix course, the Nordschleife and the route of the 24-race included.

Under the 24-race now all racing fans have to drive for the first time the possibility of all versions of the legendary Nordschleife.

If you are going down to the Nurburgring 13th and 16 May 2010 you can also get your hands on GT5 and some of the new tracks in the game.

Top Gear’s official website has has a Q&A session with Kazunori Yamauchi and has confirmed that the TG track will feature in GT5.

How did you map out the TopGear test track on Gran Turismo 5?
We had a helicopter taking aerial photographs of the circuit, and had ground crews taking photos and measurements of the track all the way around. It took about three to four days to finish the whole thing. (more…)
